
Geoffrey currently also holds Chairman roles with investment company F&C’s UK Select Trust and the self-build information portal BuildStore.
He was previously Chairman of student accommodation provider UNITE Group, housebuilder Westbury at the time of its £643m acquisition by Persimmon and Chairman of building supplies group Bowater Corporation during its expansion into Continental Europe.
Educated at Cambridge University and Colombia Business School, he was also Chief Executive of textiles group Tootal at the time of its £395m acquisition by Coats Viyella

Prior to establishing HRS, Neil spent 7 years at global management consultancy Accenture taking on several senior roles in a number of key sectors, with special focus on technology strategy.
In 2001, he researched the newly emerging field of biometric technology with a clear vision to establish a company that continually innovates, is a vibrant place to work and is the clear market leader in the provision of enterprise-class identity products. Since inception, Human Recognition Systems has delivered against this vision and today is the largest independent biometric company in the UK and currently executing against an ambitious growth strategy in 4 new regions across the world.
A mathematician at heart and well-respected thought-leader in the advanced identification space, Neil is an original Committee member of the Intellect Association for Biometrics, a 2-time winner of the IOD Young NW Director of the Year Award.

Simon is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the business. This includes new product development, quality control and on-going customer maintenance and support. Ensuring high quality processes exist across the organisation is key to Simon's role. Simon has played an integral part in maintaining the focus on the Customer, Partner and People Charters, HRS' formal commitment to delivering high standards to all the people and companies that they encounter on a day to day basis.
During his time at HRS, Simon has also managed and delivered a variety of high profile identity projects and helped build the organisation to successfully deliver biometric projects of increasing complexity. Making this possible from an operational point of view has been fundamental to the success of HRS in the marketplace.
Simon joined Human Recognition Systems in 2004 from Accenture, the global IT and management consulting company. During this time, Simon developed extensive project management, business process engineering and delivery experience over a number of large and challenging IT transformation projects for various UK and European companies including Tesco, BP and BHS.

James’ role as Business Development Director charges him with the responsibility of leading the business solutions team to get HRS products into the marketplace. This involves promoting the HRS brand, identifying new market opportunities, managing client relationships and delivering projects to the high standards that are core to the way that HRS do business. James believes that building trusted client relationships is key to success.
James joined HRS in 2010 after 10 years at leading global IT and management consultancy firm Accenture. During his time at Accenture James led a number of large-scale solution implementations for FTSE 100 companies across a wide range of industries including retail, healthcare and public services. Experience includes the successful development and delivery of a number of on-line platforms, back-office systems, and supply chain solutions.

As Head of Finance Tracy ensures compliance with statutory requirements including taxation and corporate reporting. By producing timely, accurate and insightful financial reports and analysis, Tracy supports the team at HRS to make the right financial decisions. Tracy places great importance on treating both suppliers and customers with respect and understanding and maintaining healthy and long lasting business relationships.
Prior to working at HRS Tracy spent the early years of her career at one of the UK’s largest privately owned construction companies where she gained the broad practical experience and understanding needed within successful financial institutions. Tracy later moved to Stanley Leisure PLC which was the largest casino operator in the UK where she rose from Management Accountant to the Head of Decision Support.
